Hey, how’s it going?

ALL ‘GOOD’ WE HOPE!

Let me tell you a story.

It’s about a concept so simple, yet so critical, that it can transform your life if you truly grasp it.

It’s about living in the present moment.

You see, tomorrow never comes, and the past has already gone.

All we have is now.

Every time!

Why the Present Moment Matters

You may often find yourself trapped in the past or anxious about the future.

What if I told you that the key to a fulfilling life lies in appreciating the here and now?

This isn’t just some new-age ‘mumbo jumbo’.

It’s a basic principle that is taught by great thinkers like Malachi Z. York and Dr. Leon Moss.

It is basic but ever so important to life.

Malachi Z. York, in his book The Mind, emphasises the importance of being present.

He writes:

“The mind is a powerful tool, but it can also be a prison if we let it dwell too much on what has been or what might be.

Dr York’s teachings remind us that our true power lies in our ability to focus on the present moment.

Dr. Leon Moss, in his book Omni-U, takes this concept further.

He states:

“Pure consciousness is the highest aspect of self. To reach this state, one must transcend the conditioned mind’s unquenchable thirst for more.” 2

Dr Moss’s words are a call to action: to break free from the chains of past regrets and future anxieties so that you can live fully in the now.

The Trap is the Past and Future.

Think about it.

How much time do you spend replaying old mistakes or worrying about what’s to come?

It’s like carrying a heavy backpack filled with rocks.

Each rock representing a regret or a worry.

The more you carry, the harder it is to move forward.

However, those rocks aren’t real.

They are figments of your imagination, weighing you down unnecessarily.

As Dr York puts it:

“The past is a memory, and the future is a fantasy. The only reality is the present moment.” 1

…SO…

How do you break free from this cycle?

How do you start living in the present moment?

Here are a few practical steps:

1. Mindfulness MeditationThis isn’t about sitting cross-legged on a mountaintop. It’s about taking a few minutes each day to focus on your breath and bring your mind back to the present. Dr. Moss suggests, “Mindfulness is the practice of being aware of your thoughts and gently guiding them back to the present moment.”2

 2. Gratitude JournalingEvery day, write down three things you’re grateful for. This simple practice shifts your focus from what’s lacking to what’s abundant in your life right now.

3. Disconnect to Reconnect: Spend some time away from screens and social media. Go for a walk, read a book, or have a face-to-face conversation. York advises, “Disconnecting from the digital world helps us reconnect with the real world.”1

4. Set Intentions, Not Expectations: Instead of setting rigid goals, set intentions. Intentions are flexible and focused on the present. For example, instead of saying, “I will lose 10 pounds,” say, “I will make healthy choices today.”

The Power of Now

Living in the present moment isn’t just about reducing stress.

It’s about unlocking your full potential.

When you’re fully present, you’re more creative, more productive, and more at peace.

You are able to respond to life’s challenges with clarity and calmness.

Dr York’s teachings remind us that “the mind is a tool, not a master.”1

By mastering our minds and focusing on the present, we can achieve a state of pure consciousness, as Dr. Moss describes it.

This state is where TRUE HAPPINESS and FULFILMENT lie.

Here is a ‘lil’ challenge for you:

(1). Start living in the present moment.

(2). Appreciate the here and now.

(3). Let go of the past and stop worrying about the future.

(4). Remember, tomorrow never comes, and the past has already gone. All we have is now. Every time…

As Malachi Z. York wisely said:

“The only reality is the present moment.”1

And as Dr. Leon Moss encourages:

“To create a harmonious inner and outer environment, we must remove the concepts or beliefs that keep us divided.”2

Considering these FACTS, why don’t you (if you are not doing so already), embrace the present and live fully.

So that you can watch your life transform.

What have YOU got to lose???

PEACE & LOVE,
